Our Story
Hi! Welcome to Scrumps. My name is Kathleen and I am the artist that has the pleasure of making all of these tasty cupcakes!
Family
I would like to take this opportunity to tell you a little about me and my wonderful family. I am recently married to my husband, Nathan. Since this is both our second marriages, we are blessed to have a blended family with a combined three beautiful children, one little girl and two little boys, and they are absolutely the center of our universe!
A Love for Cooking
I am a self-taught cook and baker. My parents have always instilled a strong sense of confidence and drive in me. I try to take that drive and apply it to most everything I do, including baking. I love to cook and have always found a certain comfort and ease in doing it. Although I've not always been a baker by profession, it seems like I've always been one at heart, and sometimes it just seems like we need a little kick or shove in the right direction. Mine actually came when my husband and I were planning for our wedding. We decided to have cupcakes for our wedding "cake". When we made a decision on whom to do our cupcakes based on the flavors they offered, we were very disappointed in their lack of customer service and willingness to work with us. From that frustration I decided that I was completely capable of making not only enough cupcakes for our wedding, but spectacular cupcakes at that! I found that I enjoyed doing work on that kind of scale so much that my husband and I decided we wanted to share that with everybody, and thus, Scrumps: Scrumpdiddlyumptious Cupcakes was born!!
